Situated on the banks of a lagoon (the Touw River), and just a short 10-15 minute walk to one of South Africa’s premier Blue Flag Beaches – Wilderness Beach – Cloverleigh provides an ideal sanctuary for rest and peace – whether business or pleasure brings you to this beautiful area.
The name Cloverleigh invokes the beauty and tranquility of an English country meadow – filled with clover, sheep and cattle grazing, and a gentle fresh breeze. Add to that the sounds our rich bird-life and the gentle crashing of the waves in the Indian Ocean, and you will find a peaceful haven.
Each of our five self-catering cottages has been meticulously renovated and decorated in 2024. Attention to detail is evident in everything you will find. Whether you are relaxing in your comfortable suite, sitting outdoors, and enjoying our beautiful gardens and property, or taking a dip in the heated, salt-water swimming pool you will be able to breath in the tranquility around you.
For the adventurous spirit there is plenty to do in and around the Village of Wilderness and all that the Garden Route has to offer. Go swimming in the lagoon or ocean, try Kayaking or rowing on the river, parasailing over magnificent Wilderness Beach, dine in our excellent restaurants, go hiking, running or trail biking in our forests or try golfing in one of several courses in nearby George and Mossel Bay.
